40. Perv Post 2

Completely by accident, Perv Post 1 ended up being post 20 so fate seems to have decided every 20th post should be a one.

This Perv Post is dedicated to James McAvoy. You could be forgiven for thinking… eh? Mr Tumnus (character from The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe)? Why?

So Mr Tumnus really wasn’t his best look… but James McAvoy first came to my attention in ‘Becoming Jane’ where he plays Mr Lefroy, the love interest of Jane Austen. The film is set in the 18th century so James McAvoy is decked out in opulent waistcoats and his hair is all lovely and curly. He has beautiful blue eyes that you could swim in and all of this combined sort makes your mind lose track….

His character is so cheeky and charming that you can’t help but fall in love with him. Take the clip below for example. Just casually standing there in a library engaging in some 18th century flirting and then bowing and walking away as if he didn’t just proposition someone.

Who needs 50 shades of grey when you can have James McAvoy reading a natural history book? Mmmm and his voice and dramatic pauses were perfection!

James McAvoy pretty much has period characters nailed. He was also in Atonement with Keira Knightley which has a very memorable library scene… what is it about libraries?!

However, I really liked his portrayal of Wesley in ‘Wanted’. It’s the last thing I thought he’d be in… you know a crazy, shooting, action filled blockbuster, but whilst it got mixed reviews, I personally thought it worked… or maybe I was just blinded by him. Who knows? But be honest… who wasn’t impressed by the whole curving bullets thing?! It was awesome and totally made James McAvoy more attractive. Don’t know what I’m talking about? See below.

I was so upset when MythBusters shot the down the possibility of curving bullets in real life. Sad times.

Well I certainly look forward to seeing Mr McAvoy in more movies and hearing his yummy Scottish accent. Nom Nom.

Over and Out!
